New Zealand-based Carefore Global New Zealand has launched CARECERT, an independent quality mark.

The certification intended to support market access for healthcare technology and household products in Vietnam and wider Asian markets through verified compliance with New Zealand standards.

The programme was established following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in Ho Chi Minh City involving CFG, Vietnam-based distributor Care For Vietnam, and manufacturer FeelZen.

CFG will manage certification governance and technical benchmarks, positioning CARECERT as a third-party assurance mechanism for suppliers seeking to meet regulatory, retail and institutional procurement requirements.

The partnership assigns CFG responsibility for standards and certification, while CFVN will act as the exclusive distributor in Vietnam. FeelZen will manufacture products in line with South Korean quality expectations. The partners plan to use CARECERT as a shared framework to assess safety, performance and reliability across product categories.

CARECERT is intended to provide consumers, retailers and regulators with greater confidence that certified products meet evidence-based testing requirements and benchmarked performance expectations aligned with New Zealand’s research and innovation system.

“CARECERT represents a long-term commitment to building trust in healthcare technology across the region,” said Grant Washington-Smith, Scientific Director of Carefore Global New Zealand. “Our goal is to help professionalise the market in Vietnam and beyond by raising the bar on product quality and safety through New Zealand science and systems thinking.”

CARECERT is expected to be applied more broadly across Asia. CFG develops science-led quality systems and product innovation to support trusted health and wellness products for Asian consumers.
