Auckland is set to gain a new hub for creativity and play, with the grand opening of New Zealand’s largest LEGO store at Sylvia Park Shopping Centre on Saturday 23 May.
“We’re incredibly proud to expand our footprint in New Zealand with the launch of this new store,” said Troy Taylor, vice president and general manager, LEGO Australia and New Zealand.
The custom-built LEGO Certified Store spans 275 square metres, making it New Zealand’s largest LEGO store.
“Auckland has a passionate community of LEGO fans, and this new space at Sylvia Park will provide an inspiring environment where creativity and play can truly click into place. We’re excited to see what the community builds and how this store helps bring those ideas to life, one brick at a time,” Taylor explained.
The opening of the 25th store in the portfolio highlights the ongoing commitment of the LEGO Group and Alquemie Group to expanding their presence across Australia and New Zealand.
“Our second store in Auckland marks an exciting milestone in our continued growth across the region,” Matthew Robertson, managing director, licensed brands, Alquemie Group, said.
“We’re thrilled to bring an interactive LEGO retail experience to Sylvia Park and to create a destination where brick fans of all ages can explore, imagine and build together. This store has been carefully designed to stack up as a must-visit location, with experiences that encourage creativity to take shape in new and exciting ways.”
Visitors will be able to browse a wide range of sets, as well as enjoy interactive features like hands-on play zones. The store will also include signature elements found in LEGO Certified Stores worldwide, such as a Pick a Brick wall and a Build a Minifigure station.
