Kiwi-owned skincare brand Pure Mama has recently launched in the United States, partnering with several major retailers to bring its products to American consumers.
Founded in Pāpāmoa by sisters Lara Henderson and Yasmin Shepherd, Pure Mama creates and distributes pregnancy and postpartum skincare. The brand’s focus on premium ingredients and formulations has resonated with consumers across New Zealand in just over three years after its official launch.
Owners said it took Pure Mama 18 months of preparation to successfully offer its products in the US market. On August 26, the brand launched in all 10 locations of the luxury supermarket chain Erewhon in California. The brand will also be available online through Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Revolve in the coming months.
Pure Mama founder and co-owner, Lara Henderson, says, “It’s been an incredible journey to get to this point, especially navigating the throws of start-ups and starting a family. Our US launch marks an exciting new chapter for us as we continue to provide mothers with safe, effective, and luxurious skincare options.”
Co-owner Yasmin Shepherd also shares, “We’re excited to partner with these prestigious retailers. Each one aligns perfectly with our brand values and mission to deliver quality skincare to mothers-to-be and new mothers everywhere.”
The brand was also featured on social media by prominent figures such as fashion blogger Aimee Song and American socialite Kourtney Kardashian, who used Pure Mama’s signature belly oil and body scrub. The skincare business reported a significant surge in website traffic and impressive sales figures, following Kourtney’s post.
