Google has launched an AI-powered feature in Gmail that simplifies meeting scheduling by integrating Google Calendar availability. The new “Help me schedule” tool, powered by Gemini AI, suggests suitable one-on-one meeting times directly within emails.
Users activate the feature via a button beneath the Gmail compose window, which displays available time slots that can be edited before being sent. Once the recipient selects a time, calendar invites are automatically created for both parties, streamlining the scheduling process.
Unlike other tools such as Calendly or Doodle, Google’s assistant uses email context to tailor its suggestions—for example, proposing only 30-minute slots if specified. Previously, Google had a calendar appointment feature, but this is the first to integrate Gmail and AI.
Additionally, Google Keep reminders will now sync automatically with Google Tasks, improving task management across Google’s ecosystem.
