Air New Zealand has been named the most attractive workplace in the country, the 2024 Randstad Employer Brand Research findings revealed.
Randstad conducted a survey among workers in New Zealand to explore employer brand perceptions and gain insights into the preferences of employees and job seekers. The results of the survey have shown that the airline was again flying high above the rest when it came to its financial stability, brand reputation, salary, and employee benefits.
Air New Zealand has claimed the top spot for two consecutive years and now boasts a total of eight wins for this award.
Air New Zealand chief people officer Nikki Dines emphasised how their employees play a key role in making Air New Zealand special.
“They work extremely hard to provide outstanding service to our customers. We want to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for our Air New Zealand whānau, one where they can be themselves and grow their careers.”
“A solid example of an iconic Kiwi brand that has remained resilient, continuing to support its people and invest in its employer brand during challenging economic times,” Randstad New Zealand’s country director, Richard Kennedy, stated as Air New Zealand continues to excel in the survey.
The Department of Conservation (DOC) ranked as the second most appealing employer, closely followed by the New Zealand Customs Service, with their recognitions attributed to their competitive salary and benefits, commitment to society, positive reputation, opportunities for career advancement, and long-term job security.
Professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) came in fourth place, and WSP came in fifth for the second consecutive year.
The sixth most attractive company to work at is Beca, followed by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners New Zealand in the seventh spot. Victoria University of Wellington, the Ministry of Business, Innovation, & Employment (MBIE – Hīkina Whakatutuki), and EBOS Group ranked eight, ninth, and tenth, respectively.
