U.S. President Donald Trump cautions that America will unleash harsh measures if Iran hangs anti-regime demonstrators, while monitors tally over 2,400 fatalities from a ferocious clampdown on mass unrest.

Authorities in Tehran have doomed 26-year-old Erfan Soltani to execution after a hasty tribunal, scheduled for January 14, per kin to BBC Persian and Hengaw rights group. Hengaw deemed the pace shocking, saying they had “never witnessed a case move so quickly.” A relative called it “in an extremely rapid process, within just two days.”

To CBS News, Trump warned: “If they hang them, you’re going to see some things… We will take very strong action if they do such a thing.” He aims to verify deaths at a White House huddle, noting “The killing looks like it’s significant, but we don’t know yet for certain,” before acting. Truth Social carried his vow that officials face a “big price,” plus “I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS. HELP IS ON ITS WAY. MIGA!!!”
