Former President Donald Trump has recently shared AI-generated images on his Truth Social account, suggesting that fans of Taylor Swift are endorsing his campaign. This comes shortly after he made false claims about Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign allegedly using AI to manipulate crowd sizes at her rallies.

On Sunday, Trump posted images of women in “Swifties for Trump” t-shirts, including a satirical image that claimed Swift’s fans were supporting him due to security issues that led to the cancellation of her concerts in Vienna. He captioned the post with “I accept!” and included screenshots of four posts from X (formerly Twitter) featuring women in the t-shirts, along with a doctored image of Swift urging her fans to vote for Trump.

Despite these claims, Taylor Swift has not endorsed any candidate for the upcoming election, having previously supported Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020. She has also criticised Trump, particularly regarding his statements during the Black Lives Matter protests following George Floyd’s death.

One of the posts Trump shared was marked as satire by its creator, who indicated that it was intended as a joke and believed Trump understood the humour. Additionally, Trump included two authentic photos of a supporter named Jenna Piwowarczyk, who wore a “Swifties for Trump” shirt at a rally in Racine, Wisconsin, earlier this year.

Piwowarczyk expressed excitement about her image going viral and emphasised that young female voters should not feel conflicted about supporting their conservative beliefs while being Swifties.

Last week, Trump inaccurately asserted that Harris’ campaign had fabricated images of her rally crowd in Detroit, claiming they were generated by AI. However, numerous images and videos from reliable sources confirmed the presence of a substantial crowd at the event, contradicting Trump’s allegations.
