Meta’s Threads platform is upping its game to attract podcasters by launching features that make podcast discussions more visible and engaging.

Podcast links in users’ feeds now have colourful backgrounds and thumbnails to catch the eye, while podcasters get a special section on their profiles to showcase their shows more prominently.

Meta plans to build on these initial updates with new tools that help podcasters understand their audience engagement better and make it easier for listeners to discover podcasts tailored to their interests. Rather than hosting or distributing podcasts, Threads aims to be the social space where fans and creators connect through conversation.

This move seeks to unify scattered podcast discussions currently found on sites like Reddit, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify, creating a cultural hub on Threads. Although Threads has strong monthly user numbers, the podcast community offers it a chance to close the gap with rivals like X.

With these features, Meta continues to emphasise supporting creators by improving promotion tools and providing richer interaction opportunities within Threads. Additional podcast-related functions are expected soon, further cementing Threads’ role as a destination for podcast talk.
