Thomson Reuters has partnered with Icertis to bring generative AI into enterprise contract management.
The collaboration links Thomson Reuters’ CoCounsel AI assistant with the Icertis Contract Intelligence platform. Accenture is acting as the integration partner.
Enterprise-Wide Contract Management Solutions
The partnership is intended to address what Thomson Reuters called the urgent need for enterprise-wide contract management as a shared responsibility across organisations. Businesses will be able to accelerate contract review, improve compliance, and unlock value from contract data by integrating CoCounsel with Icertis’ AI-driven platform.
Laura Clayton McDonnell, President of Corporates at Thomson Reuters, said: “The pressure on legal, procurement, and other corporate professionals to deliver strategic value while navigating the intersection of commerce and compliance is immense.”
She added: “Our partnership with Icertis represents an advancement. We empower corporate professionals with the most advanced, content-driven, AI technologies to streamline contract review, allowing more time to focus on the company’s commercial goals.”
Turning Contracts into Business Assets
“Icertis is committed to bringing together rich data sources and best-in-class AI innovation in one platform to help enterprises realise value by turning their contracts into dynamic strategic assets,” said Anand Veerkar, Chief Revenue Officer.
The integration will also allow joint customers to use Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law content and CoCounsel’s drafting and review tools directly within Icertis workflows, supporting faster contract cycles and stronger compliance.
Accenture’s Role in Driving Adoption
Christina Demetriades, Lead for Legal and Contract Transformation, said: “The demand for advanced legal technology and seamless integration has never been higher.
This collaboration between Thomson Reuters and Icertis, with orchestration powered by Accenture, provides a clear pathway for legal departments to truly reinvent their operations and deliver unprecedented value to their businesses.”
Technology Designed to Amplify Human Expertise
The companies emphasised that the partnership is intended to elevate rather than replace human expertise. Thomson Reuters said the alliance will help legal professionals move beyond operational tasks and focus on providing counsel that drives business resilience.
