The recall of over 20 popular Tasti snack products due to the potential presence of small wire-like metal fragments has been expanded to cover additional batches.
Vincent Arbuckle, deputy director-general of New Zealand Food Safety (NZFS), said the primary concern is the risk of injury from the products, although there have been no reported injuries to date.
Affected products include various Tasti bars, peanuts, and snack balls sold in supermarkets and retail stores throughout New Zealand, with some also exported to Australia, Fiji, India, and Singapore.
Last night, New Zealand Food Safety expanded the recall to cover more batches of Tasti products.
