Media company NZME said it anticipates operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) for 2025 to range from $59 million to $62 million.
This is an increase from the earlier guidance of between $57 million and $59 million.
The company stated that the midpoint of its updated forecast is 12% above its 2024 operating (EBITDA) of $54.2 million.
“We’re pleased to upgrade guidance as our business shows signs of recovery, despite the continuing economic challenges across the country,” NZME chief executive Michael Boggs said.

“The company has had better than expected revenue performance coupled with continued cost control. This momentum positions us well as we enter FY26.”
The company will release its financial results for the year ending December 31 in February.
Earlier this year, NZME reported operating EBITDA of $23.9 million and an after-tax loss of $393,000 for the first half of 2025.
NZME owns the New Zealand Herald, NewstalkZB, and the property website OneRoof, along with numerous other radio stations and newspapers across the North Island.
