Hallenstein Glasson’s group chief executive, Chris Kinraid, has resigned.

The company released an announcement to the NZX from its chairman stating that Kinraid would be stepping down.

“The board…has received, with sincere regret, the resignation of its group chief executive,” chairman Warren Bell said.

“Chris’ extensive background and senior-level experience across listed retail environments has been instrumental in delivering strong growth in revenue and earnings during a challenging economic environment.”

“As a result, he is leaving the group in a very strong position.

Kinraid’s resignation occurs less than two years after he assumed the role, during which he achieved growth in revenue and earnings despite a difficult economic climate.

In the six months ending February 1, 2025, Hallenstein Glasson Holdings announced a total group revenue of $240 million for the half-year period, marking a 7.7% increase from $222.9 million recorded in the same period last year.

Chris Kinraid was appointed as chief executive of Hallenstein Glasson in July 2023.

Before becoming Hallenstein Glasson’s group CEO, Kinraid served as CFO at Kathmandu and subsequently took on the role of group CFO at KMD Brands.

“The board expresses its appreciation of Chris and his significant contribution to both Hallensteins and Glassons and wishes him all the best for the future,” Bell said.
