Greener Pastures New Zealand has unveiled the Greener Pastures Kiwifruit Fund, created for individuals and families pursuing New Zealand permanent residency via the Active Investor Plus visa.

The fund will focus solely on New Zealand’s kiwifruit industry, including owning orchards and holding shares in Zespri, the leading global exporter and marketer of kiwifruit.

“We’re very proud to unveil the Greener Pastures Kiwifruit Fund,” said Dominic Jones, Managing Director of Greener Pastures New Zealand.

“It gives our clients the ability to meet the investment requirements of the Active Investor Plus visa through investing in one of New Zealand’s most successful industries.”

“This is a sector that has delivered enormous value to its stakeholders for many years, and it does so by providing a leading product to the world. Kiwifruit is an excellent health product for consumers, it is environmentally friendly, and investment in the sector is great for our country, New Zealand.”

“The industry has been one of New Zealand’s success stories over a long period of time, and the outlook for this sector is exciting.”

The fund will concentrate on highly productive kiwifruit orchard land, including both established orchards and new developments on undeveloped land.

Before his career in banking and finance in London and founding Origin Capital Partners, Jones was raised in rural New Zealand with family ties to farming. Board members of both Greener Pastures New Zealand and Origin Capital Partners have investments and governance roles within the kiwifruit industry.

The Greener Pastures Kiwifruit Fund is the firm’s second investment offering designed to fulfil Active Investor Plus visa criteria. It follows the Greener Pastures Diversified Fund, which offers a lower-risk investment option in private equity and private credit markets.
