The deals platform GrabOne has relaunched under new New Zealand ownership—almost a year after its operator entered liquidation.
Paradigm Group, a Wellington-based holding company, said that it has acquired GrabOne. Offering users deals on experiences, products, and travel, the website officially relaunched today.
“When GrabOne went into liquidation, it wasn’t just a platform shutting down. Real merchants lost a channel that was genuinely working for them, and over 350,000 Kiwis lost a way to discover what’s on their doorstep,” Paradigm Group chief executive Jonty Hodge said.
“For some of these businesses, GrabOne was generating millions in revenue. We couldn’t just watch that disappear.”
Under new ownership, Hodge said the company will prioritise helping small and medium-sized businesses draw in new customers and boost repeat business. It also features a new merchant portal and faster payment systems.
Former GrabOne staff, including head Paul Raeburn, have rejoined the platform.
“Last year’s liquidation marked the end of one chapter, but we always knew the platform still had so much to offer Aotearoa,” Raeburn said.
“Speaking to merchants, it’s clear that there were parts of GrabOne that weren’t working, but the platform still helped businesses reach new customers and optimise inventory.
“Looking forward, we’re moving away from the clutter of the past to bring GrabOne back to its core roots.”
GrabOne entered liquidation due to funding constraints in 2025, with Daniel Stoneman and Neale Jackson of Calibre Partners appointed as liquidators for its operator, Global Marketplace New Zealand Limited.
