Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines are commemorating ten years of their strategic partnership, which has since facilitated seamless travel for over 5.5 million passengers.
Connecting New Zealand, Singapore, and over 55 international destinations, the alliance remains a cornerstone for international mobility and trade.
Expanding Global Reach and Passenger Traffic
The alliance has provided travellers with a broader range of flight options and improved connectivity since its inception. New Zealand travellers are increasingly flying to sought-after destinations like the United Kingdom, India, and Thailand, while inbound visitors largely come from India, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
With up to 38 return flights weekly between Auckland, Christchurch, and Singapore during peak times, the partnership ensures extensive accessibility.
Passengers benefit from smooth transitions at Singapore Changi Airport, renowned globally for its efficiency and quality. “Our partnership with Singapore Airlines is built on a shared commitment to exceptional service and delivering the best experience for our customers,” said Mike Williams, Chief Transformation and Alliances Officer at Air New Zealand.
Enhanced Connectivity and Economic Impact
The partnership between Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines has brought numerous benefits to leisure travellers and has also enhanced tourism and trade connections between New Zealand and Singapore.
Business travellers gain direct access to important global markets, while the expanded flight capacity helps boost cargo transport. George Robertson, General Manager for Singapore Airlines in New Zealand, pointed to the success of the collaboration in elevating both service and connectivity.
“Millions of Kiwi travellers have enjoyed our award-winning service, seamless connectivity, and the convenience of transiting through Changi,” he said.
The collaboration has significantly bolstered South Island tourism, with Christchurch benefiting from daily flights throughout the year, rising to 10 return services per week in the summer months. Air New Zealand’s domestic network, covering 20 destinations, facilitates seamless connections between regional hubs and major cities.
Commitment to Long-Term Growth
The current Northern Winter schedule, running from November 2024 to March 2025, includes multiple daily flights between Singapore and Auckland, as well as daily Christchurch services with additional frequencies during peak periods.
This sustained capacity highlights the airlines’ commitment to strengthening the air corridor between Singapore and New Zealand.
Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines have launched a global brand campaign titled ‘Celebrating 10 Years of Partnership’ to mark the 10-year milestone.
The campaign, which runs across print, digital, and social media platforms, reinforces the message of seamless travel and world-class service.
The tagline, “Stronger Together, Wherever You Go,” encapsulates the essence of the partnership.
As part of the celebration, special promotional fares from New Zealand to Singapore and beyond are available until 31 March 2025, offering travellers more opportunities to explore global destinations at competitive prices.

The partnership between Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines has proven to be a significant asset for international travellers, business communities, and the tourism sector over the past decade.
